A woman, who had left her home after a disagreement, forgot her bag in the Gynecology Ward of the hospital.
Security In-charge Sajjad Baran returned the bag containing cash worth millions and gold jewelry to the patient.

Karachi (Staff Reporter): Jinnah Hospital’s security team is now safeguarding patients’ belongings alongside their treatment. The hospital administration rewarded the security in-charge and his team, who returned cash and gold jewelry worth millions to the woman.
Security In-charge Sajjad Hussain Baran shared that the incident occurred in the Gynecology Ward, where a woman arrived after being upset with her family. She decided to stay in the hospital’s premises. During her stay, she fell ill and fainted, leaving her bag behind. Private security guard Majid, who was on duty in the ward, informed Sajjad Baran about an unattended bag.
Upon receiving the information, Sajjad, along with Assistant Security In-charge Akhtar Abbas, rushed to the Gynecology Ward. They opened the bag and discovered cash, gold jewelry, and other valuables. Sajjad ensured the woman received immediate medical attention in the Emergency Ward and informed Jinnah Hospital’s Director, Professor Shahid Rasool, about the incident. The team then began searching for the woman’s family and located them within hours.
When the woman regained consciousness, her bag was returned to her in the presence of her family, setting an exemplary standard of honesty and responsibility in safeguarding patients’ lives and belongings.
The following day, AIG Karachi Police Javed Alam Odho visited Jinnah Hospital to commend the security team’s integrity. A ceremony was held in the Director’s office, attended by AIG Karachi Javed Alam Odho, Director Professor Shahid Rasool, Deputy Director of Security Dr. Yaseen Umarani, Security In-charge Colonel (Retd.) Khalid, Captain (Retd.) Saeed, and other hospital officials. Sajjad Baran, Akhtar Abbas, and security guard Majid were awarded honorary shields and praised for their exemplary honesty.
